Chairperson, Ethics Review Committee

Kibabii University Ethics Review Committee (KUSERC) is a Board appointed by the Vice Chancellor, under the Division of PPRI of Kibabii University as a requirement by National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI) to conduct ethics review of protocols in Social Sciences, Technology and Engineering, Veterinary/Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Business/Research, Natural Sciences, Biomedical/Health Sciences and Information Sciences among others. The process of Accreditation began in 2023 with payment to NACOSTI, and the process is still going on. The Board has 13 members, 5 ladies and 8 men. KUERC consists of one lay member, one Technical Member from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), the remaining 10 members are KIBU Staff from different Schools and Faculties as per the scope together with the legal member. Most of our members have undergone Training in proposal review conducted by NACOSTI, The Committee structure and mode of operation is indicated in the SOPS.
